The Best Ramen in My Neighborhood
A small counter shop with eight seats and a broth worth the wait.

There’s a place three blocks from my apartment that I’ve now been to more times than I’d like to admit. Eight seats, one broth, no menu debate necessary.
What to order
The tonkotsu is the reason to go. It’s rich without being heavy, and the noodles have enough bite to hold up the whole time you’re eating. Add the soft-boiled egg — it’s cured just enough that the yolk stays jammy.
The details that make it work
- They only make enough broth for the day, so it sells out — go before 7 PM
- Cash only, small space, expect to wait if you show up on a weekend
- No reservations, no substitutions, and that’s part of why it’s good
Rating
Would go back weekly if my schedule allowed it. If you’re in the area, it’s worth the wait.
